I was fortunate enough to grow up in the bay area where the underground hip hop scene is so rich with culture and pride and being surrounded by that is what inspired a lot of the designs that we put out today. It's really amazing to see Hiero establish themselves over the years into major icons in the hip hop industry. Last year they were rewarded for their hard work and willingness to help out the community from Oakland Mayor Jean Quan by declaring September 3rd "Hiero Day" as a holiday in Oakland. And over 20 years after they first released 93 till Infinity they are still giving back to the community that raised them.
This past Labor day, Hiero hosted their 3rd Annual Hiero Day at Linden Street Brewery in Oakland California. Over 30 bands including The Grouch & Eligh, Planet Asia, Zion I, Los Rakas, Kehlani and Mystic Journeymen to name a few performed through the 3 stages at the event. A diverse crowd of over 20,000 people from all over the bay area attended the event for a fun day of hip hop, art, food, and skateboarding.
